Digital Mandalas

The Digital Mandalas are born of the abstract works. To put it simply, a pie slice-shaped area is selected from the finished Digital Abstract and then copied, rotated and flipped around a central axis to form a circle. A quarter of the circle is then duplicated into each corner to form a background layer. A ring or band is usually added to the edge of the circle, to which a pattern, etc. may be applied. In some instances, I may decide to drop the circle behind the background to create a variation on the theme, so to speak. The last step is to select the symbol that will be displayed at the circle’s center and/or perhaps in a ring near the circle’s edge.
