Gabby

Gabby is named in honor of the French composer, Gabriel Faure. She is our oldest and our smallest. She’s more or less remained a permanent kitten weighing at around six pounds to the ounce, a weight that hasn’t fluctuated at all since she became an adult. She’s primarily a Betsy’s girl, so when Nora came to live with us (Nora was/is also Betsy’s girl), Gabby was not pleased – at all. She made Nora’s early kitten years difficult to say the least, attacking her relentlessly. Needless to say, as Nora grew she soon weighed almost twice as much as Gabby, and that and time conspired to mellow Gabby’s hostilities toward her rival. Now they can eat side by side.
